We loved our time skiing here on a cold Friday afternoon. We skied every single run, I even did their “double black” screaming demon haha. The greens were lovely, the blues were so fun and the blacks were great practice for my intermediate skills. My husband who can ski anything also had a great time! For such a small mountain it provides a lot! Lots of kids came after school and moms were teaching their little kids. There was never a line for the lift. The lodge had great food options and cheap coffee at $2!! Plenty of seating, no stinky wet carpets at all, nice bathrooms. Very impressed. We came here with our Indy passes, first time on this mountain and can happily say we’d love to drive back out here again to improve on my confidence and carving in peace without the crowds of bigger more expensive mountains

My friends and I had an amazing time at Ski Big Bear during their annual festival weekend! From start to finish, every staff member we encountered was polite, friendly, and genuinely engaging. We went snow tubing as a large group, and the team did a fantastic job making sure we had an absolute blast. A special shoutout to Courtney—she’s the best at snow tube spinning and definitely made the experience even more fun! The bartenders were also incredibly accommodating and pleasant, which added to the overall great atmosphere. Thank you, Big Bear Mountain, for such a memorable and fun-filled weekend. We can’t wait to come back!

Always a great ski spot! It was not too crowded when we went, so we got plenty of runs in. Their bar/restaurant inside has a fantastic menu with lots to choose from and friendly service

Had a great time! The staff are so friendly and supportive. Shoutout to Brandon and Joey for being amazing instructors. We’ll definitely be coming back soon! If it’s your first time, I suggest coming earlier before the slopes get busy.

my 9-year-old daughter, a beginner skier, and she had an incredible time! The mountain had excellent coverage, and we spent the entire day exploring the trails. This resort is perfect for beginners, with nice long green trails to learn on, great blue trails for building confidence, and challenging black diamond runs to push your skills further. It’s a fantastic family-friendly mountain—ideal for bringing kids, with almost no lift lines and a welcoming staff. We made some wonderful memories here and can’t wait to return! A huge thank you to the staff on Saturday, 3/8—they were outstanding and made our visit even better with their exceptional customer service.

We went there yesterday to meet our grandkids and it was a great family experience. There was a lovely learning area for our granddaughter and an easy run for our grandson. I also skied for the first time in a while. For a small ski area it had everything, nearby parking, a lovely restaurant with ample sitting area, good snow and the weather was great. Would recommend for beginner skiers and for family groups.

Can you give MORE than 5 stars? You ought to be allowed. Ski Big Bear packs a great offering into every day. The trails? Professionally groomed and properly rated. The Staff? Everyone wants to help and smiles abound. The VALUE? You can't find a more enjoyable activity that caters to every skiing and non-skiing level. The WAIT? There wasn't one because they get you in, get you equipped efficiently, and get you on the slopes. Any problem? It seems like everyone is ready to drop everything to make your day better. I found myself sitting next to a lady I went to college with 40 years ago. We were both at Ski Big Bear at Masthope with the grandkids! The place is all about family, friends and traditions. See you next year at Ski Big Bear!

Great little mountain. The trails are well maintained and the lights let you ski past sundown. Also a great mountain for beginners, I've taught several people to ski here.
